Recorded history

The Sangh’s establishment

A Nepali publication from the Sangh records that Shri Vindhyavasini Adhyatmik Sangh was established on 22 Marg 2040 B.S. during a Gayatri Purashcharan Mahayajna at the Shobha Bhagwati Temple premises in Kathmandu.

The publication records the Sangh’s registration with the Kathmandu District Administration Office on 4 Bhadra 2041 B.S.

Foundation

Our origins

The Sangh grew from a shared aspiration to create a lasting centre for spiritual learning and practice. Guided by Nepali Baba, devotees came together to build a community that honours ancient knowledge while responding to the needs of contemporary life.

Located in Satungal, Kathmandu, the ashram welcomes seekers, families, students and visitors. Its activities encourage inner discipline, mutual respect and the understanding that spiritual life finds its fullest expression in service.

Purpose

Our objectives

The same Sangh publication records regular yajna and mahayajna, satsang, padyatra, religious and cultural outreach, and social service. These activities support traditional goodwill, coordination and harmony within the community.

Our mission is to nurture self-awareness, compassionate action and harmony. We provide a place where people can learn, worship, reflect and serve together, without barriers of social or economic background.

Our vision

We envision Vindhyashram as a living centre of wisdom and service: a spiritual hospital, Vedic university, Anna Kshetra, Goshala, senior citizens home, Gurukul, and meditation and yoga centre working together for generations to come.
